JOWO 6 Steel Scroll nib unit

Unfortunately, my experience with FPnibs was very disappointing.

I ordered a JoWo #6 EF with a Waverly grind and a high-flow feed for my Gravitas Sentry Titanium. Even from the beginning, the grind felt noticeably scratchier than I expected. More importantly, the ink flow was completely excessive: despite the nib unit being properly installed and tightened, the pen eventually started dripping actual drops of ink onto the paper when held nib-down. I experienced the same issue with both cartridges and a converter.

I have assembled and disassembled many fountain pen nibs before, but while following the troubleshooting advice from support, the nib/feed assembly ended up being damaged and unusable.

What disappointed me most was the after-sales support. The only compensation offered was a free feed if I placed another order, meaning I would have had to spend more money and pay shipping again after an already expensive and unsuccessful purchase.

I eventually discarded the FPnibs unit and went back to my standard Fine nib, which works perfectly.

Compared with my experiences with Franklin-Christoph, including the way they handled the rare issue I had with one of their nibs, the difference in customer support is significant.

I will not order from FPnibs again.

I asked for a heart breather hole ... Cute. Getting into fountain pens was already a rabbit hole but finding out you can just. Customize nibs too?? Insane. Also they do engravings. I havent asked for it but it looks awesome
