Visconti fountain pens.
2025 Comedia Limited Edition
The Comedia collection is Visconti's tribute to the literary genius of Dante Alighieri, born in 1265 in Florence and unanimously considered the greatest Italian poet who ever lived.
The Comedìa fountain pen mounts a large steel nib, combining writing performance and aesthetic pleasantness. The plating of the nib, like that of the other trims, follows a precise color scheme to best represent the cantica from which the pen is inspired: ruthenium for Hell, Caronte and yellow gold for Paradiso, Virgilio.
The Virgilio fountain pen features a refined acrylic resin body in shades of ivory, transitioning into hints of laurel green and touches of fire red, symbolizing wisdom and the passion for enlightenment.
Adorned with bright yellow gold trims, this pen is a tribute to the poet’s noble spirit. The central ring is engraved and enameled with Virgilio’s name, a signature of his eternal legacy. The finial, a unique case for a Visconti collection, also features a refined enameling.
In stark contrast to the benevolence of Virgilio, Caronte represents the inevitable passage into the unknown. As the ferryman of the Acheron, he is the herald of fate, guiding lost souls beyond the threshold of Inferno.
Both Virgilio and Caronte each strictly limited to 999 pieces. This number—rooted in the numerical structures of Dante’s poetry—echoes the divine perfection and mystical significance of the numbers three and nine throughout the Divine Comedy.
